PHASE 2 ENGAGE
Come spend some time with us! Meet our staff and a variety of microchurch leaders so you can grasp the big picture of our missional ecosystem. Let’s figure out together if you want to be a part of the Underground Network.
PHASE 3 COMMIT
JOIN THE NETWORK
Confirm you really want to be a part of the Underground Network. Convene annually with directors and enjoy a system of care designed for movement directors.
As our relationship with you strengthens, we're able to offer you more of our resources.
As a decentralized missional community, the glue that binds us in relationship is values, not a unified vision statement. The Manifesto represents our most aspirational biblical values. Many people have commented to us that when they first read the Manifesto their heart literally began to beat faster. It's the feeling you get when your own heart and convictions have been somehow articulated by people you have never met before. We felt that way when we were first forming the Underground and read the Lausanne Covenant. It expressed doctrine and theology we so strongly resonated with that we thought, if a Lausanne community existed somewhere in the world, we would want to be part of it. If you read these and have that experience, it's a good sign that maybe we should keep getting to know one another and see if we should be family in the Underground Network.
If you have been through all the stages above and it seems clear to you and to us as the network that we should be family, the Basic Agreement is what we would sign together. It includes the values and doctrine above, our core Missional Promises and the Directors' Covenant below. This agreement becomes a covenant between us as a diverse family of church networks. It's important to take time to read through all of these as you explore relationship with the Underground and ask any questions that are raised for you.
